Investing with America’s Real Deal

Like we mentioned in the disclosures of the show, we are just here for entertainment, we make money from advertising, product sales and stuff like that, we don’t earn any commissions on the investments and we are not compensated due to the sale of securities. We are grateful for FINRA approved funding portals like MRCROWD.COM, STARTENGINE.COM, WEFUNDER.COM AND SILICONE PRARIE and their affiliated escrow services for taking the responsibility to assist you in your investments from here on out. Remember, investments in private companies like these have a high degree of risk. You can’t ask for your money back. It may take several years to see any return if you ever get one. So don’t invest if you can’t be very patient and if you can’t afford to lose the money you invest. You may lose all your investment. Please don’t borrow money to invest and don’t use grocery or rent money.

Investing 101

Why allow Non-Accredited Investors – (Those not considered “wealthy”) to invest in Start-ups?

My amazing dad was a school teacher. He and my miracle-working mom raised 11 boys and several of the neighbors. Dad was not a millionaire so he was not qualified as an accredited investor. This meant he didn’t get a chance to invest in many start-ups that were only available to accredited investors. We also know that with every HUGE success, many more companies failed completely, and those investors lost all of their investments. That is why the regulators have been so eager to protect the non-accredited investors, limiting the amount they can invest in private companies based on their income / net worth – to protect how much they could lose.

Today anyone 18 and older can invest in a private company with a $100 or more at a time. Investment is high risk so you should only invest what you can afford to lose. But what a wonderful privilege to get in close to the ground floor where the opportunity to see your money multiple over and over again, just remember, the higher the potential reward, the higher the risk.

So Why Don’t more people Invest in stocks?

Why so little involvement?

MOST JUST DIDN’T KNOW THEY COULD INVEST IN A PRIVATE BUSINESS. The JOBS ACT and the related rules and regulations that make it work allow companies to offer their stock to their customers, fans and others 18 years old and older. We are here to make it easy to learn how to invest, what risks are involved. For example:

    • Investments in public companies can be liquid – which means you can sell it almost any time. Investments in private companies may never be liquid. This means you can’t get your money back out whenever you want.

    • Usually, investments have been through stock brokers, but now more than half of the investments are done online with the investor researching the risks and investing. Investing in private companies requires the same effort.

    • We will have webinars, retreats and conferences for investors to continue to learn more about investment.

SOME ARE AFRAID THEY DON’T KNOW ENOUGH ABOUT INVESTING. We will help you learn more about investing in these early-stage companies. Some things you should know about investing in private companies:

    • It is very risky. You could lose all your money. You can’t ask for your money back if you have a financial crisis – the company puts the money to work. It’s not a loan or layaway plan.

    • It could be years before you might see a share of the profits, if any.

    • It could be years before the company is acquired or goes public, or it never happens.
